A few hours before the 2023 presidential election, a political bigwig in Kwara North senatorial district, Alhaji Tajudeen Audu, has declared support for the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate Kashim Shettima.
The politician, who is also a Makama Lafiagi town disclosed this while meeting with his political family on Wednesday in Ilorin, said “After successful meetings, consultations and advises from critical Stakeholders, elders, Youth and Women groups, I, on behalf of our teaming supporters hereby declared on our unanimous decisions and choice of TINUBU/Shettima candidature as the most preferred in the coming Presidential Election.
“Our support for Tinubu is borne out of his very appealing track record in Lagos State, as a builder of men that is devoid of ethnicity or religious bigotry.
“He has also sufficiently demonstrated the desired courage that is an important attribute for leadership at this difficult time in our Nation’s history.
“Today, Lagos State is the number one commercial hub of Africa, housing the largest refinery in Africa, largest rice processing plant in Africa, largest fertilizer plant, and the largest deep sea port, to mention few.
“My fellow Kwarans, let us give him the chance to make an important impact, build on the solid foundation and replicate such resourcefulness across the country at this critical moment that we need it most.
“This is why it became imperative that we gathered together across party lines to enjoy all Kwarans to massively vote for Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu in order to ensure a better future that is full of opportunities for Kwarans and indeed, Nigerians at large.
“We all recollect that it was our collective effort in 2015 under the All Progressive Congress – APC that victoriously produced President Muhammad Buhari. This feat was repeated in the 2019 general election and for Kwarans, it was a landslide ‘Otoge’ victory in which Asiwaju played a prominent role in the support of our progressive desire. We in Kwara are Not ingrate as we cannot afford to fall back to ‘the days of the locust’.
“Today, by the divine destiny, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the candidate of the All Progressive Congress which was the party that birthed our collective Otoge struggle in the State and we should also give him our support at the poll and that is why we came together across party affiliations to support him.
“One good turn deserves another, Tinubu has paid his dues.” he said
