The House of Representatives Aspirant for Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, has described the reign of the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, as development-driven in all ramifications.

He identified the revered monarch as an apostle of peace and bridge-builder with strong aversion for segregation and divisive tendencies.

In a statement issued to commemorate the 82nd birthday of the Emir of Ilorin, Ajia said the people of Ilorin Emirate have not had it so good in terms of education, infrastructure and other developmental indices until Alhaji Sulu-Gambari ascended the throne of his progenitors.

He added that monarch has paid his dues as one of the most respected Emirs in the country, especially with his sojourn in the judiciary that eventually culminated in his choice as Emir of Ilorin.

The 2019 PDP governorship aspirant expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah for blessing the people of Ilorin Emirate with the traditional ruler whose tenure has attracted uncommon transformation.

Ajia, who prayed for sound health, long life and prosperity for the Emir of Ilorin, urged the natives of Ilorin to join in praying and celebrating the traditional ruler for adding another year.

He said, “It delights me to join eminent sons and daughters of the Ilorin Emirate to celebrate our spiritual leader and Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR for adding another year.

“We have every reason to be joyous in this auspicious moment as we bask in the euphoria of the 82nd Birthday of the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs. His reign has continued to be development-driven in line with the overwhelming expectations of the people of Ilorin Emirate.

“As true natives of the Emirate, we weren’t surprised at the surge of development in our ancient city because of the sojourn of the Emir of Ilorin in the bench of the nation’s judiciary where he rose to become the presiding judge of a Division of Court of Appeal.

“We therefore pray to the Almighty Allah to renew the health of our royal father and accord him longevity of life as he continues to preside over the affairs of the Ilorin Emirate”.
