Nigeria@62: Kwara Speaker Urges Citizens To Remain Patriotic, Hopeful

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has charged Nigerians to be more patriotic and prayerful for Nigeria to overcome her challenges and attain her full potential.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Sheu Yusuf, on the occasion of the celebration of Nigeria’s 62nd independence anniversary.

Engr. Danladi-Salihu observed that while Nigeria as a nation had had a lot to contend with in the last 62 years, notable and remarkable landmarks have also been recorded, hence the need to consolidate on them for a prosperous future.

” 62 years in the life of our nationhood is by no means a small year, indeed we have come of age and despite the current challenges in security and economy, we have done considerably well when looking at it from the angle of other critical sectors, the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari has done its best in the services of our fatherland”

“As Nigerians, it is important to complement the efforts of our leaders by being more patriotic, hopeful, and prayerful for Nigeria to reach her full potential as the giant of Africa”

“On this special occasion of our independence anniversary, I congratulate Nigerians and especially our dearest Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State and all Kwarans, I wish them happy independence day”
