Ghanaian socialite, Hajia4Real arrested in UK for alleged $8m fraud

Ghanaian socialite Mona Fiaz Montrage, alias Hajia4Real has reportedly been arrested in the United Kingdom for fraud.

Hajia4Real who is also an actress visited the UK on October 31, for the Ghana Music Awards UK was reportedly arrested on Friday, November 11 while still in the country.

Ghanaian entertainment journalist, Olele Salvador on via twitter gave further details of the arrest saying it was in connection to an $8 million theft that occurred during her stay in the US.

The arrest is said to have been a collaboration between the US and the UK as Hajia4real had been on a “red list” in the US for some time.

Ghanaian media outlets are alleging that Hajia4Real was a “middle-man” for internet fraudsters.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has has called for prayers for Hajia4Real, “Mona, God will see you through Ok, just believe in that sweet soul spirit. I’m praying here for you…I’m so sad”, he said on Snapchat. (FRCN)
