KWSG approves bail-out funds for four tertiary institutions

The Kwara State government has approved the release of a sum of One hundred and twenty million nairas (NGN120,000,000.00) as bail-out funds to four state-owned colleges.

The beneficiary institutions include the College of Education Ilorin, the College of Education Oro, the College of Education Lafiagi and the College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies Ilorin.

This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr Alabi Afees Abolore, in a statement made available to the Accurate News Nigeria by the press secretary of the ministry, Mansurat Amuda-kannike.

The statement reads “the approval for release of funds was considered as an intervention to aid the smooth running of the institutions.

“We would recall that similar interventions of this nature have been witnessed by the stat-owned tertiary institutions since the inception of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led Administration,

“We urged the management of the benefiting institutions to judiciously utilise the funds to serve the purpose with which it was released”.

The Commissioner further urged the benefiting institutions to Compliment the efforts of the Governor AbdulRazaq-led administration by improving their teaching methodology and enhancing qualitative academic service delivery.

He also charged heads of state-owned tertiary institutions to be steadfast and committed to supporting the policy direction of the Present Administration.
