A supporter of the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, simply identified as Ufam, has been allegedly shot dead by a supporter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Philemon Usman in Kaduna.
Information made available to Newsmen revealed that the incident happened during a heated argument about the presidential candidate that should be voted for.
The incidence occurred at Gonin Gora, a suburb of Kaduna town in Chikun Local Government of Kaduna state.
Blueprint gathered that a bullet from the gun of the Labour Party supporter also hit and critically wounded one Mrs Anna Joe.
Newsmen who visited the official residence of Mrs Anna Joe, discovered that the sad incident started as a result of an argument which ensued over support for Peter Obi and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the PDP.
She explained that before the sad incident occurred at her beer parlor, she was about to close when someone came, asking of her brother, who is the Commander, Civilian JTF Zone two Gonin Gora that there was a fight at a sharp corner.
“I asked my brother, the commander, to go and confirm what was happening there while I was waiting for him at the shop. It was not quite long when he came back and told me everything had been settled”.
“Later I saw Afam sitting outside my shop not knowing he was in the position of a firearm. He requested for a bottle of Starlite which I served him, when I was bringing a glass cup for him then the boys and Afam were having argument with followed him to my shop, upon seeing them, Afam brought out his gun and started shooting sporadically and Philemon Usman was hit by a bullet and die while i sustained gunshots.”
She lamented that she has spent over N100,000 in the hospital to remove seven bullets on her legs. She is also soliciting for assistance.
When Newsmen visited the deceased residence to speak with the deceased elder brother, he was said to be at the CID office in Kaduna town stating he may not want to grant an interview.
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police command, Mohammed Jalige, when contacted as of the time of filing this report, said he could not grant an interview because he was at the bank. (Blueprint)
