The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have expressed delight over the appointment of a public relations expert, Alh Saadu Salahu as senior special adviser and counselor to Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
In separate statement, the EDPU; the umbrella body of all socio- cultural organisations in Ilorin Emirate and the ruling APC in the state, hailed Governor AbdulRazaq over his choice of Salahu for the all- important appointment.
The IEDPU national president,Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman, in a statement signed by the union’s national publicity secretary, Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahiim, said that the union was most delighted that the Governor,who is also the chairman of the Nigeria’s Governors Forum(NGF), has rewarded industry, hard work and loyalty with the appointment of Salahu .
He described the appointee as an exemplary professional and versatile technocrat, who truly deserved the position, considering his glittering academic and professional qualifications, contributions and performances in the previous positions held by him before and since the beginning of the life of this administration.
Uthman urged Salahu to continue to offer his best towards the progress and development of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large, saying that all hands must be on deck towards the advancement of the “State of Harmony”.
He wished Salahu and other indigenes of Ilorin Emirate holding one position or the other at local, state and federal levels the very best.
The APC’s congratulatory message signed by its state secretary, Alh Mustapha Salman reads: ” On behalf of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, Kwara State chapter and the good people of
Kwara State at large, we extend our heartfelt congratulation to you Alh. Saadu Salaudeen on your appointment as the Senior Special Adviser and Counselor to the Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
“We are optimistic that you will continue to offer him a genuine and sincere advice as senior special adviser and counselor as implies in your portfolio so that Kwara will enjoy uplifting and rapid development.
