Kwara Govt Organises Capacity Building Training For Media Practitioners On L-PRES Project Reporting

    The Kwara state government has organised a five-day capacity-building workshop on documentary production for the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support L-PRES project for the media practitioners in the state.

    The training held in Ilorin, the state capital was facilitated to enhance the participants’ skills in reporting the achievements and impact of the L-PRES project in the state.

    L-PRES is a project specially designed to boost agricultural and livestock productivity in Nigeria with the support of the World Bank and the state government.

    Declaring the workshop open, the state Commissioner for Communications, Bola Olukoju commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his visionary leadership showcasing the state to various International organizations and payment of counterpart funds to attract developmental initiatives to the state via donor agencies.

    “World Bank and other International donor agencies are now taking Kwara as a case study for other states in terms of our performance in their areas of interest and this is made possible because of our communication strategies and the amount of information we made available to the general public about our activities.”

    Olukoju further charged the participants to take full advantage of the training to enhance their skills said the workshop aimed to equip them with multimedia skills for effective documentation and communication of government projects and activities.

    The five days workshop was anchored by Four Icons Premium Limited, with participants drawn from electronics, print media outlets, online platforms and press secretaries in the state ministries.
