The erstwhile Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs in Kwara State, Hon. Aisha Ahman Pategi has denied ever said N300 million is being illegally deducted from LGs allocation on monthly basis since inception of the present administration in the state.
Aisha, who is now the Commissioner in charge of Special Duties disclosed this while addressing the Journalist at the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press center, Offa Road, Ilorin on Monday said “all the information on LGs funds reportedly linked to her were fake news”
“We as an administration are now on the path of governance, not campaign, not politics as usual, but here to deliver the mandate given to us by kwarans”
Aisha said the reports linked to her that she raised alarm that N300 million is being illegally deducted from the allocation meant for all the 16 Local Government Areas in the state since inception of this present administration never emanated from her.
“I debunked claims about the N300 million misappropriation of Local Government Areas funds. I never made a pronouncement like that nor did I ask anyone to write or say anything like that on my behalf. It is all malicious rumours which were formed by figment of ‘bloggers’ imaginations”
I therefore want to state here in clear terms that:
“The general public should disregards the financial misappropriation information as rumours and I call on those peddling fake stories to desist or be ready to face the full wrath of the law”
She added that in contrary to the fake reports circulating on Social Media that she is not in good working relationship with her colleagues in the cabinet she said “I have been on good working relationships with my colleagues in the cabinet of Governor AbdulRazaq and all reports of fighting with my fellow cabinet members are false and unfounded and need to be disregarded in its entirety”
“We are a team working towards our mandate. His Excellency has created an enabling and friendly atmosphere for all the cabinet members to work peacefully and harmoniously”
Added that “Governor AbdulRazaq is a God-fearing and financial disciplined person who has zero tolerance for corruption; his focus is to deliver his quota to kwarans and my focus, along with my colleagues’ is to assist him in the actualisation of his mission and vision for our dear kwara state”
She, however urged the public to always be guided by the news reports from the conventional media.
