The Chairman of Teaching Service Commission, (TESCOM) Ogun state, Evangelist Olalekan Ifede, has been presented an award of integrity Stewardship (Service Ambassador) by the Advocacy for Peace And Values Reorientation.
The Award was presented to him at the TESCOM Conference Room Oke-Mosan, by an Abuja-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established by the youth group, to promote ethical leadership and awaken the Spirit of Service-ship in the hearts of citizens.
The Chairman commended the organizers and alluded the honour to the support of the entire management team of TESCOM.
He assured that the honour accorded to him would spur a continual template of hard work, diligence and commitment, saying it will be channelled to uplift the standard of education in the State.
He further enjoined the organizers to sustain the initiative of giving merit to people worthy of honour.
Speaking, the Permanent Secretary Teaching Service Commission, DR.Abdulwaheed Olanloye stated that the Chairman deserved the award. He also noted that, his devotion to work and humble nature is an outstanding attribute that requires merit.
Olanloye added that the awardee is a team leader who possessed quality leadership attributes that he harnessed to inject cohesion and discipline amongst TESCOM staff, since his assumption into office.
The Permanent secretary further advocated that the values of youth must be restored to rid of restive acts and entrench a prospective nation.
In his response, the Executive Director, Advocacy for Peace and Values Reorientation, Comrade. Abubakar Abraham Oyibo disclosed that the award was premised on evaluating the performance of personalities in the South West region, stating that the Chairman of TESCOM scored high points, which availed him the award.
He further informed that its organization would always promote integrity, moral uprightness and selfless act to ginger political office holders on self-awareness.
