Troops Rescue 6 Kidnap Victims in Kaduna

    Troops have dislodged bandit camps rescuing six hostages in Chikun Local government area of Kaduna state.

    State Commissioner for Internal and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan in a statement says security forces have continued with clearance operations in identified bandit and terrorist enclaves around the state.

    The statement explains that troops of Operation Forest Sanity in the early hours of Tuesday carried out raid and rescue operations in Kuriga and Manini communities of Chikun local government area and engaged bandits at the suspected enclave.

    It says after clearing the camp, the troops rescued six kidnapped victims; Sahura Hamisu, Ramlatu Umar, Saudatu Ibrahim, Maryam Shittu, Fatima Shuaibu and Khadijah Mohammed along with her infant.

    The rescued persons have been safely reunited with their families.
