The Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Engr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed has called on Nigerians to rise against all odds and strengthen the bonds of Unity and Friendship to keep the country together.
Abdul made this call in his sallah message to the Polytechnic Muslim community as they join other Muslim faithfuls across the globe to celebrate this years eid-el-kabir festival.
He urged all muslim faithfuls to re-enact the virtues exemplified by prophet Ibrahim through his sacrifice, patience, steadfastness, generosity and obedience to Allah for the country to move forward.
Abdul also advised the Polytechnic community to use the occasion to pray for peace, unity and progress of Kwara State and Nigeria at large as the country battles with the challenges of fuel subsidy removal.
He lauded the efforts of the Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq led administration in providing palliatives that will cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal on civil servants and students in the state.
The Rector wishes the Muslim faithfuls a joyous celebration, reassuring his administration commitment to move the Polytechnic to an enviable status.
