The Kwara State Police Command has announced the assumption of duty by CP Adekimi Ojo, psc, mnips, as the 44th Commissioner of Police for the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, anipr, and made available to journalists in Ilorin.
“CP Ojo, a seasoned law enforcement officer, brings over three decades of experience in crime prevention, intelligence-led policing, and strategic security management. His leadership is expected to enhance security measures, strengthen public safety, and foster better community relations across Kwara State.
“Before his appointment, he served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations in Kwara State, playing a key role in crime-fighting strategies and security coordination. He has also held various operational, investigative, and administrative roles across Nigeria, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a proactive approach to policing.”
The new Commissioner assured residents of his unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order, tackling crime, and creating a safer environment.
He urged citizens to remain law-abiding and cooperate with the police by providing credible information to aid security efforts.
