Groups, individuals and students body have hailed the nomination of Dr Afeez Abolore as a commisioner by the Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Abolore is expected to be screened by the Kwara State House of Assembly on Tuesday.
The groups and individuals, in avalanche of congratulatory messages to Abolore described his appointment as long overdue and well deserved.
They poured encourmiums on the former commisioner for Tertiary Education, whom they described as a performer and welfarist.
Some of the groups that have felicitated with Abolore on his nomination as a commisioner are the Indigenous Kwara Polytechnic Old Students Association ( IIKOSA), Ilorin East local government area APC ward chairmen,
Comrade Habib Ajibola Lawal,
APC chairman, Ilorin East local government, Iponrin APC Youths and Tomorrow Focus Group (TOFG) amongst others.
All the aforementioned groups and individuals also praised Governor AbdulRazaq for finding Abolore worthy of the appointment.
In its message, the Indigenous Kwarapoly Old Students Association (IIKOSA) said the nomination of Abolore as a cabinet member “signifies a promising trajectory towards progress and development.”
In the statement signed by the association’s president, Comrade Abdulganeeyu Abdulkareem Jagun, the students body said Abolore’s nomination was a beacon of hope for a brighter future in the state.
” Abolore’s extensive experience and unwavering commitment to service make him a standout choice for the role, resonating with the aspirations of the community.
“IIKOSA lauds the Kwara State Government for recognizing and appointing Dr. Abolore, a distinguished leader with a proven track record of excellence. His appointment symbolizes a strategic move towards inclusive governance and represents a significant step forward in addressing the needs and aspirations of the people of Kwara State.
“Dr. Abolore’s leadership is expected to usher in an era of transformative policies and initiatives aimed at enhancing the socio-economic landscape of the state. His dedication to public service and his vision for a progressive Kwara align seamlessly with the collective goals of IIKOSA and the wider community,” it stated.
In their own message, the Ilorin East local government ward chairmen said:” we count Dr Abolore’s appointment as well deserved. We thank Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for deeming it fit to re – appoint our son from Ilorin East.
The APC chairman in Ilorin East, Comrade Habib Ajibola Lawal, in his message said that Governor AbdulRazaq, ” deserves nothing short of our commendations over the re – appointment of our own Dr. Afeez Abolore, as a commissioner from our dear local government, Ilorin East.
“I’m extremely delighted! The joy, particularly in me and by extension, many others, knows no bound that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq found a prominent and committed member of our dear party, APC, worthy of this re- appointment. I want to express my confidence in the ability of Dr. Abolore in adding value to the party, APC and governance at all levels.
” May I also charge you to put your vast knowledge, expertise and wealth of experience into bear in this new assignment as we look forward to see you continue to be a worthy ambassador of Iponrin community, Osin, Ilorin East and Kwara State at large while discharging your duties professionally.

The Iponrin ward APC Youths, in a statement signed by their president, Yakub Issa and secretary, Ilias Olatunji congratulated Abolore on his nomination and hailed the governor for honouring one of them.

The director general of Tomorrow Focus Group (TOFG), Comrade Alabi AbdulRasaq, described Abolore as an adorable philanthropist.
He congratulated Abolore on what he called a well deserved appointment and pray Allah to continue to guide him aright.
For her part, the lawmaker, representing Ilorin East Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Hajia Fatimoh Arinola Lawal thanked Governor AbdulRazaq for appointing Abolore as commissioner designate in the current administration.
“Dr. Afeez Abolore, the son of Ilorin East local government, is an intelligent and visionary man whose effort as the commissioner of Tertiary Education opened doors for new appointment.
“I appreciate His Execellency for trusting the youths and women of the state in his quest and effort to rebuild Kwara.
” I also emplore Dr. Abolore to double his efforts in his latest capacity to ensure the vision and dream of the Governor to ensure the growth of Kwara is achieved,” Arinola Lawal said.

Also, the All Progressive Youth Forum (APYF), Kwara State’s chapter, has described the choice of Abolore as a commissioner nominee as a right decision by Governor AbdulRazaq .
In a statement signed by its coordinator,Hon. Abduljalil Bala-Daba, the association said that the reappointment of Abolore has once again demonstrated that Governor AbdulRazaq is a purposeful and patient leader who is meticulous in taking decisions as regards governance of the state.
It noted that Abolore possessed sufficient qualities required for the position going by his antecedents, adding that,” there is no doubt he is the right and competent candidate for the position.”
