Wife of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who is also Chairperson of the Tinubu/Shettima Women Presidential Campaign Team, says the APC government will continue to fight the insecurity bedeviling the North-West.
Tinubu, who led the wife of the APC Vice-Presidential candidate, Nana Shettima, and the North-West women campaign team rally for Tinubu in Katsina enjoined the women to rally around APC come 2023 elections for peace and self-reliance.
“We thank you for the overwhelming support and we promise to do all it takes to support our youth and women in the North-West and make sure they all have peace in abundance,” she said.
She had earlier told Governor Aminu Bello Masari that his wise counsel would be appreciated when Tinubu/Shettima come in as leaders after his tenure might have elapsed.
“Your wise counsel will be highly appreciated when Tinubu/Shettima come on board in 2023 by the grace of God.
On his part, Masari said, “we have known him (Ahmed Bola Tinubu), we have been with him many years and we in APC here in Katsina stand by him 100 per cent.
“We stood by him before, we stand by him today and we will stand by him tomorrow.
“Katsina is the home of APC. The movement was established by President Muhammadu Buhari when he joined politics years ago and especially when he formed Congress for Progressive Change.
“So, the structures you see in Katsina has been in existence under the current dispensation of APC are structures built by CPC that has been in the state.
“We are all beneficiaries of that structure here in Katsina State and we have proof of all that he stands for.
Dr. Zainab Bagudu, Zonal Coordinator, North-West assured that women from the zone will deliver Tinubu/Shettima come 2023.
Governors’ wives from all the North-West states, governorship candidates’ wives, women leaders all converged on Katisna People’s Square at the government house for the rally.
