A leading pressure group, Alliance For Sustainable Kwara (ASK) has hailed the model adopted by the Kwara State for the fresh distribution of palliative rice to the people of the state.
The chairman of ASK, Malam Razaq Lawal, in a statement on Friday applauded the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his devotion to the welfare and wellbeing of the people of the state.
He noted that the mode of the distribution has ensured that the palliative rice get to people across the 193 wards of the state, irrespective of political affiliations.
” The palliative rice got to the beneficiaries across the 193 wards of the state because religious groups, welfare associations and community unions were involved in its distribution,” Lawal stated.
He praised the members of the committee saddled with the responsibility of distributing the rice for a job well done.
Lawal urged the people of the state to reciprocate the gesture of Governor AbdulRazaq by continuing to support the programmes and activities of the state government.
He equally urged the governor not to rest on his oars in his avowed commitment to lift the people of the state out of poverty and leave the state better than he met it .
