Barau appoints Ajimobi’s son, others as senior aides

    The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Jibrin Barau (APC Kano North), has announced appointments of  senior aides among whom were Mudashir Ismail who covered the Senate for Daily Trust from 2015 to 2018 as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity and Idris Abiola Ajimobi as Special Adviser, Special Duties.

    Idris Ajimobi is the son of former governor of Oyo state, late Ajibola Ajimobi.

    Others appointed by the DSP in a statement issued Sunday are Professor Muhammad Ibn Abdullahi as Chief of Staff, Professor Bashir Muhammad Fagge as Special Adviser (Policy & Monitoring) and Yusuf Aliyu Tumfafi, as Special Adviser (Political).

    Also listed among the appointees is one of the pioneer staff of the National Assembly, Mrs. Ngozi Ndawi Nkemdirim, as  Special Adviser (Administration) and  Shitu Madaki Kunchi, Special Assistant (Media & Publicity).

    Professor Muhammad Ibn Abdullahi, born in Faruruwa, Shanono LGA, Kano state, was until this appointment, the head of department, Education, School of Continuing Education of Bayero University, Kano (BUK).
