Kwara based civil society group, named, ‘Mekunnu Forum Agenda’ have appointed a retired permanent secretary in the state Ministry of Communications, Hajia Rabiat Mopelola AbdulRahman with ambassadorial role.
Speaking during the decoration ceremony, the state coordinator of the forum, Mr Wopaotan said “It is of great joy and honor to appoint you as the state Ambassador of Mekunu’s Agenda. This, took us months and procedures before arriving at choosing you. Your appointment was as a result of promoting and displaying of selflessness in Humanity. This was as a result of your keen interest in the welfarism of Kwarans. Before now, Your record of Personal empowerment and networking to reducing unemployment was highly commendable”
“You have also showed genuine interest in the Administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in his efforts to birth new kwara. You’ve been very accessible and committed to improving lives”
On behalf of the Mekunnus (Poor and less opportuned) in Kwara, We congratulate you and look forward to collaborating with you and the State Government to reach out properly to the good people of Kwara”
Reacting, Hajia Rabiat Mopelola AbdulRahaman thanked the Forum and promised to be a good Ambassador. Thus, She reiterated her commitment to promoting the lives of Individuals irrespective of the background and figure, saying it’s a call to service from God.
She however, thanked Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for giving her the opportunity to serve as a Permanent Secretary in the State highlighting numerous achievements while in office.
