Consensus Will Strengthen APC Ahead of Future Polls, Says Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia

    A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Dan Amanar Fune Emirate of Yobe State and Nwanne Ukwu Di Na Mba of Amaba-Ukwu Item in Abia State, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, Ph.D., has called on all aspirants contesting for various positions within the party to abide by the collective decision of the APC on consensus candidacy in the overall interest of party unity and victory.

    Ajia, in a statement released by his Director of Communications and Strategy, Mallam Abdulrahman Aliagan and made available to journalists, noted that power belongs ultimately to Almighty God, who gives authority to whomsoever He wishes at the appointed time.

    He therefore urge all party faithful and aspirants to embrace peace, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the electioneering processes

    According to him, since party stakeholders have unanimously agreed to adopt consensus arrangements in some positions, all members and aspirants should respect the outcome and rally behind whoever emerges as the party’s chosen candidate.

    He stressed that the unity and stability of the APC remain far more important than individual ambitions, adding that the strength of the party lies in the collective support and loyalty of its members.

    Ajia reiterated his total commitment to the position of the party and declared his readiness to work harmoniously with any aspirant that emerges as a consensus candidate at all levels of the electoral process.

    “I am fully committed to the ideals and decisions of our great party. Whoever emerges through the consensus arrangement should be supported wholeheartedly by all members to ensure victory for the APC,” he stated.

    He further pledged unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC leadership, and all candidates of the party across the country, assuring that he would continue to work diligently for the success of the APC in the forthcoming general elections.

    The Ilorin-born security expert emphasized that he remains a loyal and committed member of the All Progressives Congress and dismissed as false and unfounded the rumours making the rounds that he was planning to defect to another political party.

    “There is no truth whatsoever in the speculation about my defection. I remain solidly and proudly a member of the APC and have no intention of leaving the party. My loyalty to the party structure and leadership remains unshaken,” he affirmed.

    He urged party members nationwide to remain focused, united, and committed to the vision of the APC-led administration, while keeping their eyes firmly on the larger goal of securing victory for the party at all levels.

    Ajia also called on APC supporters and stakeholders to avoid actions capable of causing division within the party, insisting that internal cooperation , mutual respect, and loyalty to constituted authority would guarantee continued electoral success for the ruling party across the federation.

    He expressed confidence that the APC would emerge stronger and more victorious in future elections through unity, fairness, and collective sacrifice.
