Correspondents’ Chapel Of Kwara NUJ Starts 3-Day Press Week, Honour Distinguished Personalities

Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union Journalists (NUJ), Kwara State Council will today (Monday) start its yearly press week.

The chairman, 2023 press week committee, Alhaji Abiola Azeez of the Tribune newspapers told members that the three-day fiesta will be first of its kind in the history of the chapel.

According to him, Monday event will feature health talk to be anchored by the consultant surgeon from the General Hospital, Ilorin, Dr. Aremu Isiaq, at the Chapel Secretariat at 25, Muritala Mohammed Way, Ilorin at 10:00am.

He said the second day (Tuesday) will be a Novelty Table Tennis Competition among chapels at the NUJ Press Centre, GRA also at 4:00pm.

The third day, the Grand Finale is at the Shalom hall, along EFCC Road in llorin where some dignitaries as well as deserving members of the chapel would be honoured with awards of excellence.

The event according to Alhaji Azeez starts at 3:pm, “it would be entertainment of correspondents.

“This is gonna (stet) be master blaster; journalists have never been this treated in any enviable manner until now, whoever misses out misses great fun”, he assured.
