As Muslim faithful mark Eid-El-Kabir celebration , Kwara Online Publishers Association Of Nigeria, KOPAN, has sent message of felicitation to all faithful, urging them to exhibit the virtues and lessons of the day at all times.
In a message signed by the Chairman, Hammed Adedayo Said, and the Secretary, Opeyemi Daniel Adeoti, KOPAN called for true love for one another, peaceful coexistence and care for the less privileged, saying these are virtues which people must imbibe during and even beyond the Sallah celebrations.
“We congratulate Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebration, it is expected that the Muslim Ummah will use the period of the celebration to offer special prayers for Allah’s blessings, wisdom and guidance for our leaders.”
The umbrella body of Online News Publishers in Kwara State also reminded Muslims that the essence of the celebration of the Eid-El-Kabir is not about sacrificing animals but about selfless sacrifice, perseverance, and hope for peaceful coexistence.
“Therefore, selfless sacrifice and communal love as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Ismael, should guide everyone, as we submit ourselves and needs to the Will of Allah,” the statement added.
KOPAN wished all the Muslim faithful Allah’s abundant blessings and prayed for peaceful celebration and manifest peace across Nigeria.
