Policemen on routine election patrol in Ebonyi state Saturday arrested the Commander of the disbanded Ebubeagu Security Network at polling unit 002, located at Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana, Afikpo North local government area of the state.
The federal high court had in a judgment by Justice Riman Fatum disbanded the security Network.
In compliance with the judgment, Governor David Umahi of the state inaugurated two other security outfits, Ebonyi state Neighborhood watch, and Vigilante Corps.
The Governor however, warned that the security outfits would not participate in the general election days.
However, the disbanded Ebubeagu commander, Ibiam Ogbonna popularly known as World Cup, was arrested with two pump action rifles hidden in his sienna bus, a machete, and some charms. (Blueprint)
