The family of a farmer in Igbara Odo, Ekiti South West Local Government Bayo Ogunlana has been thrown into agony and mourning after he was shot by his best friend, Abiodun Oke.
According to a report from the family of the deceased, he was shot from a close range by his friend who doubles as his immediate neighbour over an insignificant matter.
Narrating the incident, the family of the deceased claimed that the suspected murderer allegedly stole some corn from the farm but was seen at home while peeling it.
However, the owner of the farm from which the corn was stolen and other persons later got to know that the suspected murderer was the culprit.
Perhaps the suspect thought it was his friend that leaked the secret, he laid ambush on him at the early hours of Thursday and fire him from a close range leading to his death.
Reports say he had threatened to kill four more persons before he would kill himself.
The family are now calling on the police to find the suspected killer before he wreaks more havoc and lets him face the music.
