FEC to refund N9.6b to 2 states for road projects

The Federal Executive Council (FEC), approved the sum of N9.6 billion to two states Plateau and Borno for road projects built on behalf of the Federal Government.

Nigeria’s Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola made the disclosure after the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday in Abuja.

Fashola further revealed that the states had outstanding payments with respect to eligible roads for previous interventions on Federal Government roads subject to the July 2016 cut-off after which refunds will no longer be eligible.

Plateau will get a refund of N6, 601,769, 470, 99 while Borno State will receive the sum of N3, 084, 797, 113.34.
