The YPP governorship candidate in Kwara, Waziri Yakubu Gobir on Thursday, paid a condolence visit to the family of the Young Progressives Party’s (YPP) Women leader over the demise of her mother, Matron Ajibade Racheal Arinke.
Matron Ajibade Racheal Arinke died in the early hours of Tuesday at 75 years of age.
The governorship candidate was accompanied by his running mate, Honourable Bolujoko George and members of his campaign council.
Gobir and his entourage were received by the YPP Women leader Mrs. Aderonke Ajibade and other children of the deceased.
In an earlier statement issued on Wednesday shortly after the demise of Mama Ajibade, Gobir described her as a great leader and an exemplary citizen whose life represented all that is good and right in Kwara State.
According to him, “Matron Ajibade upheld the principles of justice and liberty, provided succor to the needy, and was always ready to do the hard, tireless work of investing in people.”
Gobir also prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed and comfort for those who mourn.
