Gov AbdulRazaq’s Presents Staffs of Office to Seven New Monarchs

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq was on Monday 14th of December, 2020 presented staff of office to Seven Monarchs recently appointed by his administration.

The Governor who was represented at the presentation ceremony held at the State Secretariat Compound in G.R.A, Ilorin by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Hon. Aliyu Mohammed Saifudeen charged the new Monarchs to use their positions to build harmony, understanding and peaceful co-existence among their neighbours.

According to him “Traditional Rulers have been a strong pole of support for this administration for this administration. Therefore, I must not fail to show my gratitude and deep appreciation to all the Royal Fathers for their commendable role. I am particularly pleased with the individuals and collective efforts in mobilizing your respective subjects to participate in the Government programmes and activities”

“Permit me to emphasize that this presentations staffs of Office, uniquely positions you to build bridges of harmony, understanding, tolerance and peaceful co-existence among your people and neighbours. There can be no meaningful development in an atmosphere of rancor, discord, distrust and dissatisfaction” Governor said

In his welcome address, the Commissioner  in charge of the ministry, Hon. Aliyu Mohammed Saifudeen who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, AbdulRazaq Babatunde Alabere said the presentation is a further demonstration of Governor AbdulRazaq led administration respect for the traditional rulers.

“As you are all aware, His Excelency is always quick to grant all requests bothering on the Royal Fathers’ welfare and comfort. In view of this, I wish to call on your Royal Highness to continue to support the Government in its various activities for the betterment of the communities”

He, also asked the newly installed Monarchs to always carry their people along in the development strides said “You will surely need your people support and cooperation for peace to reign and for development to take place”

The seven Monarchs are; Oba Ezikel Ajibola Omobanjo (3rd class) Oloke of Oke-Opin in Ekiti LGA, Oba (Alhaji) AbdulWahab Bolaji Usman (4th class) Onimosudo of Masudo in Ifelodun LGA, Oba Simeon Ibiyinka Olaonipekun (Aniwo 1) (4th class) Oba of Afin ile-Ire in Ifelodun LGA, Oba Moses Ademola Adeshina (4th class) Asaoro of Alasoro in Ifelodun LGA, Oba (Engr) AbdulWahab Aboyeji Ayanda Ogunbiyi, fnse (4th class) Eleku of Odo-Eku in Isin LGA, Oba (Dr) Ganiyu Toyin Olanrewaju (4th class) Oninaja of Inaja Alaro in Oyun LGA, and Oba Muhammed Akande Olarewaju Odunade (4th class) Onilupeju of Ilupeju in Ifelodun LGA.
