Governor’s Adviser, Top Govt Officials, Others At Salahu’s Daughter’s Wedding

    Special Adviser on Strategy to Kwara State governor, Alh Saadu Salahu, on Friday, led the pack of government functionaries that graced the Nikkah/ Walimatul Qur’an of Sekinah, the daughter of a deputy director in the Governor’s Office, Malam Kabiru Salahu.

    The twin- event took place at Alaro compounds, Ojuekun area, Ilorin, Kwara State.

    Other dignitaries that graced the event included two serving permanent secretaries, Alh Mohammed Yahaya ( Water Resources) and Alh Yusuf Ibrahim ( Women Affairs); two retired permanent secretaries, Alh Tajudeen Yinusa and Dr Garba Manjo.

    Others are the Imam of Governor’s Office’s mosque, Alh AbdulRasaq AbdulRahman, former commisioner for Energy, Alh Taiye Eleja, former NNPP senatorial candidate, Abdul Aiyelabegan, a grassroots politician, Alh Sualaiman Yahaya, Dr Yinusa Baraj, Barr. Sulaiman Jabata and the regional editor of LEADERSHIP newspapers, Alh Abdullahi Olesin; amongst others.

    The old students of Government Secondary School, Malete, also added glamour to the colourful event.

    In a brie sermon, the Imam of Alaro mosque, Sheikh Abdullahi Salahudeen, reminded Muslims of the importance of the learning and continuous recitation of the holy Qur’an.

    He counseled the bride, Sekinah and her two brothers, Yahaya and Mohammed who also did the Walimatul Qur’an against abandoning the recitation of the Qur’an after yesterday’s ceremony.

    The Imam said the Qur’an provides solutions to all human problems, urging the Muslims to explore the benefits inherent in the holy book.
