Special Adviser on Political Communications to the Kwara State Governor, Bashir Adigun has described the assessment performance of two year administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the state released to circulation by the main opposition party (PDP) as an insult to the people of the state.
Adigun in a statement made available to the pressmen blasted PDP for failing to recognise the good work that the governor had done in the last two years, said “people of the state have rated AbdulRazaq as the best governor in the history of the state based on his outstanding performance in the last two years”
He added that “the recent discovery of the alleged massive looting and conversion of Kwarans’ commonwealth by some identified officials of the last administration is clear indicator of their greed and lack of patriotism”
“We restate unequivocally that those found culpable in the report of the committee on the illegal acquisition of government property will not go unpunished”
“For the avoidance of doubt, the report has been handed over to prosecutors and those indicted will soon face the full wrath of the law”
“the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq welcomes constructive criticism that will enhance our efforts in jointly uplifting all Kwarans and providing the necessary public goods and services to all,” the Special Adviser stated.
Earlier in a statement signed by the State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Kola Shittu, said “It is impossible to find anyone on the streets of Kwara who has a word of praise for Governor Abdulrazaq’s performance in office except his cronies and bootlickers”
“Governor Abdulrazaq has failed woefully on many fronts of governance. There is no significant accomplishment or achievement the governor and his handlers can showcase to Kwarans. We challenge the Governor to point at any landmark project it initiated and completed in any part of the State since he assumed office two years ago,”
“present administration has been characterized by sheer incompetence, impunity, growing insecurity, unbridled corruption, contract inflation, divisiveness, illegalities, disrespect to the rule of law, vindictiveness, pettiness and intolerance to dissenting voices, among others”
PDP also described the report and the recommendation of the white-paper committee as fictitious and a mere means to distract Kwarans from the inaptitudeness and failure of the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq led APC administration in the state.
