… Empowers 360 Constituents
The member representing Ilorin East Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hajia Fatimoh Arinola Lawal, has said that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s leadership style encouraged her to churn out empowerment schemes for 360 members of her constituents.
Lawal while distributing empowerment materials to her constituents at Alabi Alasa Hall, Idi – Ape, Ilorin on Saturday said:” Inspired by the visionary leadership of our state governor, His Excellency, Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, I’m proud to support his efforts with this initiative.
” Our governor’s dedication and commitment to the welfare and development of Kwara State has been a beacon of hope, and I am honoured to contribute to this progress. I believe that empowerment is the key to unlocking the potential of our people. By providing these resources, I am creating opportunities for economic growth,self sufficiency, and improved living standards”.
Empowerment materials, including sewing machines, deep freezers, grinding machines, hair dryers, clippers, farm sprayers and wheel chairs were distributed to 160 beneficiaries.
Another set of 200 beneficiaries were given financial assistance.
The event was graced by the senior adviser/counselor, Alh Saadu Salahu who represented Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq,NNPC non- executive director, Dr Ghali Alaaya, leader of the state assembly, Hon. AbdulKadir Magaji, commissioners for Solid Minerals Development and Works, Dr Afeez Abolore and Engr. Abdulquwwiy Olododo respectively.
Senior Adviser/Counselor, Alh Saadu Salahu who represented the State Governor, exchanging pleasantries with the beneficiaries of the empowerment at the venue of the event held on 24/8/2024.
Others are senior special assistants on Religion (Islam) and Security, Alh Ibrahim Danmaigoro and Alh Muyideen Aliyu respectively, APC women leader, Alhaja Falilat Mohammed and her counterpart from Kwara Central, Alhaja Tawa Agaka.
The Magaji Aare of Ilorin, Alh Aremu Subair led other traditional chiefs to the colourful event.
While urging the beneficiaries of the scheme to ensure judicious utilization of the empowerment items distributed to them, Hajia Lawal pledged not renege from her promise to uplift members of her constituency.
Senior adviser / counsellor to the state governor, Alh Saadu Salahu, expressed delight that the items targeted and reached the “downtrodden” in the community.
He urged others in similar positions of authority to embark on such intervention to compliment the efforts of the state governor in improving the lives of the people.
