INEC commences distribution of sensitive election materials in Kwara

In preparation for the Saturday March 11th Governorship and State House of Assembly elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced distribution of sensitive election materials in Kwara State.

Speaking with newsmen during the batching of the sensitive materials at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Ilorin branch, the State Resident Electoral Commissioner REC, Mallam Attahiru Madami who was represented by the Administrative Secretary of the Commission, Mr. Julius Yagba said the materials will be distributed across the sixteen local government areas of the state.

According to him, “the essence of the early batching of the materials was to ensure timely distribution of the materials”

He explained that measures have been put in place to remove challenges recorded during the previous elections.

“All the materials will be moved to local government headquarters for onward distribution to wards and polling units levels.

“The Commisssion has received all materials required for the conduct of the elections in the state”

The REC however assured residents of Kwara of the determination of the Commission to free, fair and credible exercise.
