The New Sector Commander Kwara State Sector Command Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) IREKEOLA Muftau Adebayo has assumed office.
This was made known via a statement signed and made available to Accurate News by the Public Relations Office of the Command, SRC OB Basambo today Monday.
The statement read: “CC IREKEOLA Muftau Adebayo assumes duty today 5th July 2024. and was received by Senior Officers of the Command.
“He tasks the officers and men of RS8.1 kwara to be up and doing in all the activities geared towards achieving the Corporate Strategic goals particularly the reduction of Road Traffic deaths and injuries in Kwara State.
“Furthermore, in his address to Officers at a parade organized in his honour, Irekeola tasked on the need for greater commitment and focus on the reduction of road traffic crash fatalities and injuries within Kwara State and its environs while shunning all forms of corruption.
“He also held a strategy meeting with all Heads of Departments and Units, where he charged them to discharge their primary duties with firmness and fairness.”
The Sector Commander, further, call on motorists to adhere strictly to road traffic rules and regulations to avoid chances of being involved in road traffic crashes.
“Useful ideas and suggestions from the motorists and members of the public that can bring about a safer motoring environment in Kwara will be welcomed.”
He however wishes his predecessor well and expressed readiness to leverage the already existing synergy between Kwara Sector Command and relevant stakeholders towards delivering on the Corps mandate.
The new Sector Commander; holds a Bachelors Degree in criminology and a Masters in Transport Study.
Before his appointment, Irekeola the 21st Sector Commander in the State, was the formal Sector Commander Delta state Sector Command.
