Irepodun Stakeholders Back Gov. AbdulRazaq’s Efforts on Security, Urge Govt Officials to Strengthen Community Engagement

    Stakeholders from communities in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State have expressed confidence in the efforts of the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led State Government in surmounting the insecurity threat ravaging some of the communities in Kwara South

    This was disclosed in a communique issued by the group operating under the aegis of ‘Irepodun Unity Caucus’ after its inaugural meeting held on Monday 25th of August at Omu-Aran and signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Communique Committee, Hon. Bola Olukoju and Hon. Tayo Awodiji and made the copy available to journalists in Ilorin.

    The group declared unalloyed loyalty to Governor AbdulRazaq’s-led APC government in the state and lauded the Governor’s unwavering fight against insecurity across the state.

    The Resolutions read:

    1. Loyalty and Support
    The meeting unanimously pledged total loyalty and support to the government
    and person of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Executive
    Governor of Kwara State.

    2. Commendation of Developmental Projects
    Members commended and deeply appreciated the numerous developmental
    projects carried out by His Excellency in Irepodun Local Government, it is also
    good to note tte 4 major road projects in Irepodun and the upgrading of the
    General Hospital, Omuaran to a teaching hospital to serve the people of Kwara
    South including the full upgrade of the General Hospital Oro, empowerment
    programs, and other impactful initiatives.

    3. Recognition of Security Efforts
    The meeting acknowledged and applauded the Governor’s unwavering fight against insecurity across the state, with particular appreciation for his support
    towards safeguarding Irepodun Local Government and also the contributions of
    the Executive chairman of Irepodun Local government, Hon. Azeez Yakubu.

    4. Appreciation of Stakeholders’ Contribution
    The invaluable contributions of Dr. (Engr.) Johnson Bamidele Adewumi, Gen.
    Abidoye (Rtd), traditional rulers led by the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, and other
    stakeholders towards ensuring the safety and stability of Kwara South and
    Irepodun in particular, were highly commended.

    5. Call to National Assembly Members
    The caucus called on National Assembly members representing Kwara South to
    give maximum support in the fight against insecurity, particularly the
    Representatives from Irepodun Local Government.

    6. Promotion of State Projects
    It was further resolved that members of the caucus will actively protect, promote,
    and publicize all projects and benefits accruing to Irepodun from the state
    government under the leadership of His Excellency.

    7. Grassroots Engagement
    The meeting urged all government appointees and elected representatives from Irepodun to strengthen their engagement with people at the grassroots, fostering closer relationships and responsiveness to community needs.

    8. Solidarity on Kara Market Fire Incident
    The caucus expressed sadness over the recent fire incident at Kara Market,Ajase-Ipo, and resolved to pay a condolence visit to the Olupo of Ajase-ipo in
    solidarity with the victims and the community.

    CONCLUSION
    The caucus reaffirmed its commitment to unity, progress, and the overall development of Irepodun Local Government while supporting the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
