The leaders of the union made this known in a disclaimer press statement signed by the chairman and secretary, comrade Toyin Yusuph and comrade Oluwarotimi Daramola respectively.

The statement reads “It has become necessary and a matter of urgency to write the management of this great institution, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) that Mr. Kabir Mustapha of Audit Department, is neither a union leader nor one of JOHESU executives in UITH.

“He cannot speak for or on behalf of workers that are members of JOHESU in UITH.

“We declare categorically that whoever deals or transacts business with him on behalf of JOHESU and UITH workers does so at his or her own risk. JOHESU leaders will not be held responsible”
