JUST IN: Emefiele not in our custody, says DSS

The Department of State Services (DSS) has said the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria  Governor (CBN) Godwin Emefiele, is not in its custody.

They were speculations on Friday evening that soon after Emefiele was suspended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Service arrested him.

The Service had however kept mum over the development.

Spokesman of the Service, Dr Peter Afunanya, in a WhatsApp message on Saturday said: “Currently, Emefiele is not with the DSS.”

He gave no further information.
