An educationist and proprietress, Hajia Kawu said she did her best to improve education system in the state despite the rot she allegedly met, especially in the rural communities, adding that she worked well with the education stakeholders to record success in school rehabilitation, e-learning and provision of equipment.

Hajia Kawu, who agreed that the nation’s education sector is in shambles, said that the education system is facing a challenge of inadequate funding, “especially at the primary education level”.

“Though, he refused to give his consent when I asked for in the last general elections, but he has permitted me to go ahead this time, probably because there’s a more relative peace and low level of insecurity in our communities when compared with what was the case.

“My focus is on goal post and not about competition with any of the other aspirants. I’m focused on winning and representing my people. God sees my mind. People are with me. I’m confident to get this done and I will ensure strong relationship with people in my constituency and complement efforts of the state government on education sector”.
