The Agbeyangi Community in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara state has commended the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq for his approval of the construction of the 24 km Agbeyangi-Yaru road.
The community made the commendation in a statement jointly signed by the National President and General Secretary of the Agbeyangi Community Development Association, Alhaji Shuaib Oba and Abubakar Babatunde Ahmed respectively.
According to the Community, the approval of the governor has further confirmed his genuine love for residents of rural area and the desire to halt the pervasive rural-urban drift in the State.
The Community rejoiced that the AbdulRasaq led administration has thought it wise to construct the road which would, no doubt, help to improve the economic activities of more than 30 Communities along the route.
It is also an easy connect between Ifelodun Local Government Headquarters, Share and the rest of the Local Government communities along Igbaja-Oroago axis, thus bringing a big relief to the commuters in these areas.
The statement, therefore, expressed the support of the people of the community to the present administration for its effort that is bearing unprecedented development in the State.
The statement also lauded the contributions of the Emir of Ilorin, His Eminence, Mai Martaba, Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari at ensuring the development of the entire Emirate, the Agbeyangi Community in particular and the State in general.
