The people of Budo-oke/Ballah/ Eyenkorin in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State has lauded President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for providing the people of the areas modular healthcare centre.
Speaking on behalf of the hosting communities at the commissioning of the Dr. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, 120 bed space Women and Child Hospital, Hon. AbdulSalam Jimoh said “we express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to God, President Muhammadu Buhari and our dynamic and capable Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. We specially thank our working Governor for making our aged long dream come reality, and we will forever be grateful to your Excellency”
“With this Hospital, the people of Asa LGA, now have access to a quality healthcare facility. This is an excellent example of what can be accomplished through careful planning and team work with the goal of keeping communities healthy and vibrant. We would like to thank everyone who shared their visions, perseverance and hard work, which culminated in the completion and opening of our new Hospital building”
Earlier while handing over the facility to the state Government, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, said “The hospital facility has several state of the art utilities. They include among others – Operating Theatres; Recovery Rooms; Private and General Wards; Scanning Room; Consultation Rooms and Laboratory. Others include, Ultra-Scan Machine; Vacuum Extractor delivery set; and an Emergency Cart with full compliments”
Princess Adefulire, who calls for a special appreciation to Governor AbdulRazaq for his commitment and ongoing support to the implementation of the SDGs in the state, said “We will continue to partner with you, as we strive to fast-track the achievement of the SDGs in our dear country”
“Similarly, I would like to thank Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on SDGs Dr. Jemilat Bio Ibrahim for her untiring efforts that made this reality, our traditional and community leaders, including the youths, for your support and cooperation during the execution of this strategic project,”
Part of what handed over to the kwara state government includes; 13 ambulances.
In his response, Governor AbdulRazaq expressed his sincere appreciation to President Mohammadu Buhari, noting that the facility will go a long way in complimenting efforts of his administration in providing affordable healthcare for the people of the state and rural communities in particular.
Saying the SDGs coincides with his administration’s key policy on human development.
A renowned gynaecologist consultant, Dr. Sukrah Bolanle was announced as the pioneer Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Hospital.
