Kwara Governor Hails Monarchs For Ensuring Peace In Their Domains

Kwara State governor, AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq on Saturday attributed the prevailing peace in the state to the support and cooperation of the traditional rulers in the state.

The governor spoke in Tsaragi, Edu local government area of the state during the centenary celebration of the Etsu Tsaragi’s stool.

Represented by his special adviser on Strategy, Alh Saadu Salahu, the governor congratulated Etsu Tsaragi, Alh Abdullahi Aliyu Kpotwa on the celebration.

” Our administration holds traditional institution in high esteem and we acknowledge their cooperation in ensuring that Kwara State remains the most secured state in Nigeria as testified to by the Inspector General of Police during his recent visit to Ilorin, the state capital,” AbdulRazaq stated.

The event was graced by eminent personalities, including the secretary to Kwara State government, Prof Mamman Sabba Jubirl, a university don, Dr Muhammed Ghali Alaaya, the special assistant on Religion ( Islam), Alh Ibrahim Danmaigoro and prominent traditional rulers across the State.

Earlier, the Etsu Tsaragi whose address was read by Mal. Baba Jubir, the Talba Tsaragi, had expressed the gratitude of the community to Governor AbdulRazaq for sending a high- power delegation to represent him at the event.

He acknowledged the giant strides of the AbdulRazaq’s administration which he noted cut across the three senatorial districts of the state in the past three and a half years.

He hailed the good work and contributions of the late Etsu Mamman Saba to the development of Tsaragi.

He said the contribution of Etsu Saba who is the grandfather of the incumbent Etsu to the development of the community will continue to linger in the memory of all indigenes of Tsaragi.

“It is on record that the late Etsu Mamman Saba built the Tsaragi of today,” he added
