The Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Saturday visited the immediate past non executive director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited ( NNPCL), Dr Mohammed Ghali Alaaya in his GRA residence, Ilorin.
During the impromptu visit, the governor congratulated Ghali on his meritorious service at the NNPCL, calling him a quintessential progressive.
AbdulRazaq who poured encomiums on Ghali for his contributions to the development of Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole thanked him for restating his continued support for President Bola Tinubu and Kwara State government.
” Earlier today, I visited the Ilorin home of my brother and statesman, Dr. Muhammad Ghali Alaaya, to thank him for his meritorious service to our country as the immediate past non-executive member of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Board.
“Dr. Ghali, as he is fondly called, is a quintessential progressive whose support for good ideals predated 2019. He is a man who always sees and embraces the greater good.
“My visit to him again revalidated these ideals as he restated his support for our administration and for Mr. President whom he commended for his love for Kwara State, which the appointment of the new NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari clearly underscores.
“We both prayed for the success of Mr. President and our brother, Engr. Bashir Ojulari.
“I wish Dr. Ghali Alaiya all the good things that life can offer, while thanking him for his genuine support for our administration and national development,” the governor said in a statement he personally signed.
