Some prominent Kwarans living in the United States of America, and who are members of the Kwara Development Group, USA, have sent a message of congratulations to Dr Lateef Amolegbe on joining the septuagenarian club.
Alhaji Abdul Abebefe, Alhaji Olasupo Abbas , Dr. Lateef Olaniyan, Alhaji Usman Lambe, Mr. Bernard Adesina, Hon. Dr. Omolola Aje-Sawyerr , Alhaji Engr. Ibrahim Aroworowon, Mr. Wole Adeoye, Mr. Kayode James Adeniyi and
Chief Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun (ENACT Principal) in a joint statement on Friday felicitated Dr Lateef Amolegbe on his 70th birthday.
Dr Lateef Amolegbe turns 70 today, Friday, 11 August 2023.
‘With glory and thanks to God almighty, Mr. Lateef Amolegbe turns 70. For many close to him, it is actually a special day because of too many close calls. The man literally and figuratively works himself into the ground day in and day out. He is very tireless in his pursuit of all things that have to do with community development.
Most mortals have 24 hours a day but God in His infinite wisdom has granted Mr. Amolegbe 30 hours in a day as the sun literally stands for him every day. Otherwise, how does one explain the amount of activity he generates daily and the impactful results he achieves every day.
Mr. Amolegbe is a rare breed, but the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. As the Aremo of Late Alhaji Yusuf Amolegbe aka Oredola Okeya dynasty, he has been living the ethos passed onto him and to many Igbomina sons and daughters, idagba soke ilu – Community Development 24/7 is imprinted into his genes.
He is the typical small body, big engine man. His physical stature in comparison to the tales of his exploits along the length and breadth of Kwara state doesn’t do him justice. He should have stood at 8 feet tall. But size is not everything.
Today, we your friends at Kwara Development Group, USA, salutes you and rejoice with you today and forever more. We join friends and family worldwide to celebrate this important milestone with you and we are glad to be a part of your incredible life journey’ the KDG members submitted.
