The Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) has confirmed the remittance of the sum of N78,953,863.77 (Seventy-Eight Million, Nine Hundred and Fifty Three Thousand, Eight Hundred and Sixty Three, Seventy-Seven Naira Only) to the (16) Sixteen Local Government Councils of the State.
According to the Executive Chairman of the agency, Shade Omoniyi said is the collections on Four revenue items for a period of 12 months.
“The remittance on the only Four Revenue items collected by the Service on behalf of the Local Government was from the month of June 2019 to June 2020 and on Citizenship, Tenement Rate, Signage and Radio Licence”
Stressed that, “the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS), will continue to deploy all available resources towards enhanced revenue generation and collections for the State and remain transparent and accountable” she said
