Kwara NUJ, Correspondents’ Chapel felicitates Gov AbdulRazaq on re-election

The Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has felicitated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on his victory in the just concluded gubernatorial election in the state.

The union observed that the overwhelming victory of Governor AbdulRazaq, who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), truly reflected the wishes of the people of the state to renew his mandate for the good work to continue.

In a statement issued in Ilorin, the Chairman and Secretary, state council of NUJ, Abdullateef ‘Lanre Ahmed and Omotayo Ayanda respectively, said the Governor’s re-election was deserving in view of his administration’s midas touch that manifests in every nook and cranny of the state.

The state NUJ noted that Governor AbdulRazaq had invested hugely in human and infrastructural development since he came on board, urging him not to drop the ball.

Similarly, the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Union also felicitates the governor for the landslide victory recorded in the poll, in a congratulatory statement signed by the Chapel Chairman Abdulhakeem Garba and Secretary, Kayode Abdulazeez, urged the governor and all the newly elected lawmakers to justify the confidence already reposed in them by Kwarans.

The chapel however prays for more wisdom, good health and understanding to pilot affairs of the state in best way required and also look forward to a good and sustainable working relationship with media practitioners in the state.

It would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday evening declared Governor AbdulRazaq of the APC as winner of the last Saturday’s gubernatorial election having polled 273,424 votes as against his main challenger in People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Shuaib Yaman Abdullahi, who garnered 155,490 votes.
