Kwara NUJ Holds 32nd Media Parliament

    All is set for the 32nd edition of the Media Parliament of Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) holding on Thursday 28th of July at the council secretariat, Ilorin, the state capital.

    The event, which is themed “Repositioning Local Government Administration for Good Governance at the Grassroots”, will hold at the NUJ Press Centre, Offa Road, GRA, Ilorin at 2:00pm.

    According to a statement jointly signed by the Chairperson of the Planning Committee, Fatimah Rasheed and Secretary, Babajide Fadeyi, the media parliament would feature the state Commissioner for Local Government Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Architect Aliyu Muhammad Saifudden, as Guest Speaker.

    The theme of the 31st edition of the media platform was deliberately chosen to dissect the place of local government as a fulcrum of governance and being the third tier of government.

    The statement noted that such an occasion affords media professionals a suitable platform to engage the Guest Speaker on his perspectives on issues arising during the conversation.

    The statement urged members of the state council of NUJ to troop out en masse for the event and be punctual.
