The Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is evidently an abode for Cultists, Armed Robbers and other Criminals in the state .
These terrible crimes left behind are some of the mess being cleared by the Administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as he strives to turn Kwara to best tourists’ attraction State in Nigeria.
We read lately ,a statement by the rejected but now opposition Party in Kwara State , the PDP ,its bid to blame the current people- focused government for the violent crime in Oloje area of Ilorin, the State capital.
While we commend the police and other SecurityAgencies for their ever ready response strategy ;effecting some arrest in order to get to the root of the crime, we like to remind the public that Cultism and Armed robbery are some of the evils left behind by the PDP now pointing accusing fingers at the Administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The sixteen years of PDP were characterised by reign of violent Criminals popularly known as the “Good Boys” across the State. During the PDP era ,the “Good Boys” were used to terrorize innocent residents and students in the city and various parts of the State.
Cultists were on the Payrolls of Ministries and Parastatals and were promptly paid monthly while Civil Servants and pensioners were left to languish in pain as a result of several months of unpaid salaries, pension and gratuity.
How else do we prove that PDP was the haven for Armed Robbers and other violent crimes than the Offa Bank robbery which claimed several lives including a pregnant woman and law enforcement agents whose lives were cut short by the agents of darkness?
All the suspects arrested were the Good Boys of the PDP who operated in a Lexus Sport Utility Vehicle with a customized plate number bearing name of their leader. It is on record that the Lexus mini SUV was discovered in one of the government Ministries.
While we continue to pray for the repose of the souls of victims of Offa robbery and other violent crimes ,the PDP has its hands soiled with the blood of innocent Kwarans who lost their lives to violent crimes in the State because the PDP government provided the haven for criminals to thrive in the state.
Unlike the inglorious years of PDP, the three years of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq have witnessed zero tolerance for thuggery , violence ,cultism and other form of crime – breeding tendencies.
The simple , humble and exemplary life styles of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq have dymstified governance ; a clear leadership style and departure from the past era now adopted by all political office holders in Kwara State.
Muslim and Christian clerics , public speakers , critics , singers and indeed the Inspector General of Police have been praising Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his un-common leadership culture sustaining Kwara image as the best peaceful State in Nigeria.
