Kwara PDP replaces embattled youth leader, appoints new secretary, PRO, vice chairman

The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Kwara state chapter on Thursday announced the appointment of four new persons as members of the state working committee of the party.

Among the appointees is the Mal. Mohammed Abdulmumini from Kaiama local government, replacing the embattled youth leader Prince Haliru Dansoho Mahmoud who was recently suspended after a series of effrontery outbursts against the leadership of the party regarding 2023 campaign funds.

The announcement was made known via a letter signed by the state chairman of the party, Hon. Babatunde Mohammed and, which was made available to newsmen.

The letter reads “This is to inform all the Leaders, Members, the Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party Kwara State Chapter and the General Public at large that the following party members have been elected into the various vacant State Working Committee Positions of the Party.

“State Deputy Chairman, Alh. Idris K. Mudashiru (Baruten), State Secretary
Mal. Abdulrahman Abdulahi Kayode (Ilorin-West), State Publicity Secretary Mr Olusegun Olusola Adewara (isin L.G.A) and Acting State Youth Leader, Mal. Mohammed Abdulmumini (Kaiama).”

The new vice chairman, secretary, and publicity secretary replaced the erstwhile who voluntarily resigned from the party state working committee after the 2023 general elections.
