Kwara South Youth Group List Govt Abandoned Projects, Calls Authorities Attentions

The youth group in Kwara South senatorial district of the State has listed some of the government abandoned projects in the zone and called on the both Federal and State governments to give prompt attention to the area.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, the state capital during the week, the leader of the group, Engineer Kazeem Sanusi, operating on the platform ‘kwara South Youth Assembly’ mentioned some of the abandoned projects to include “Ajase Ipo-Omu Aran-Egbe express road and Ilorin-Igbeti road, as well as federal housing estates in the state”

The group also appealed to the Federal Government to site Federal College of Education in any of the seven local government areas that make up Kwara South senatorial district.

They, however commended the Federal and Kwara state governments for promoting, what they described as inclusive development, said the efforts should be improved upon for peaceful co-existence and community development.

They urged Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to continue in his administration’s direction of inclusive infrastructure development in such areas as road construction and rehabilitation, water resuscitation, revamping of health centres across the state.

The group also said that the state government needed to rethink its agricultural policy and economic agenda to include employment generation

They also called on elected Representatives in Kwara South senatorial district to promote good image of the area as peoples ambassadors, saying, “You are our ambassadors to the world, therefore, we demand progressive representation”

“We call on Kwara youth, especially, Kwara South youth to embrace good course of promoting economic prosperity and peaceful development of Kwara state”.
