Kwara state government has announced the termination of the contract of the waste management companies, engaged to evacuate debris in Ilorin metropolis.
Announcing the termination, the state commissioner of Environment, Remilekun Oluwatobi Banigbe, in a statement said “Kwara State Government hereby announces the termination of the engagement of the State Social Waste Contractors, due to the inability to meet the relevant Service Level Agreements”
“The wellbeing of the good people of Kwara remains paramount to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, hence we will be leaving no stone unturned to ensure a more hygienic environment for all and sundry”
“On this note, the Ministry of Environment hereby invites Submission of Interest from the general public for the vacancies created” Banigbe said
