To stop further encroachment on its vast land, the Kwara State House of Assembly on Wednesday urged the Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to approve fund for the construction of perimeter fencing of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.

The house arrived at this resolution after considering the report of its
committee on public petition on the petitions titled “Save our Soul ” – Kwara State Polytechnic Encroachment on Communal Land and High-Handedness ” and “petition Against the Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin”.

The report was presented and laid on the floor of the house by the chairman of the committee, Hon. Lawal Ayansola Salihu, representing Malete/Ipaye/Oloru state constituency.

The house noted that the construction of perimeter fencing on the land of the institution will forestall further encroachment and curb the criminalities of the land grabbers and vandals alike.

It specifically urged members of the Budo Lima communities to allow peace to reign by tolerating the construction work at the TETFund project site to continue unhindered because its completion has duration.
