The Voice of Women Conference had on Wednesday honoured Governor AbdulRazaq with the unique award for his transformational gender inclusion policy in Kwara State.
Lawal, in a statement issued in Ilorin on Thursday described the new feat achieved by the governor as remarkable.
He noted that the latest honour done the governor by the global women was not an happenstance given his commitment to the emancipation of the women folk, adding that he earned it.
Lawal recalled how the governor had in the constitution of his maiden cabinet in 2019 surpassed the 35 percent affirmation for women in appointment into political offices.
He added that the governor also gave 50 percent slot to women in his current cabinet as ” women got nine(9) out of the 18 commisssionership seats. This is even as the governor paved the way for emergence of five women as members of the state’s 24- member House of Assembly.”
The influential politician therefore urged the people of the state, especially women and youths to continue to support the programmes and policies of the AbdulRazaq- led admnistration.
