Mammoth Crowd At The Burial Of Ex- IPU Chairman, Fidau Holds Friday

Mammoth crowd on Wednesday 10th April, 2024 attended the janazah( burial)of the late chairman of Ibagun Progressive Union (IPU), Okelele area, Ilorin, Alh Kuranga Omomeji Morogun.

Morogun, a former president of Association of Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools ( ANCOPSS) in Kwara State, died on Wednesday after a brief illness.

Two senior government officials – Senior Adviser/Counselor, Alh Saadu Salahu and Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters, Alh Muhideen Aliyu represented Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq at the janazah prayer.

Members of IPU led by the co- chairman, Barr. Rauf Ajao were also in attendance to give their late chairman the last respect.

The prayer which was held at the deceased’s Morogun compound, behind GDSS Amule, Okelele, attracted a huge crowd of sympathisers from far and near.

Islamic clerics – Imam Sefura and Imam Jagun, that led the prayer took turns to eulogised the virtues of the deceased.

They described Kuranga Omomeji Morogun as a devoted Muslim and a patriot who gave his all for the development of Ibagun/ Okelele community.

The clerics prayed Almighty Allah to forgive and grant the deceased Aljanat Firdaus and as well comfort the family he left behind.

Meanwhile, the fidau prayer for the late IPU chairman has been slated for Friday.

A statement signed by the head of Morogun family, Alh Abdullahi Owolabi said the prayer will hold at Morogun compound, Okelele, Ilorin at 10am prompt.
